Best Kitchen Amazon Finds
It’s been quite the snowball effect here at the Gilson home remodel. We added more kitchen cabinets, which means we needed new countertops…and when we removed the old countertops, we realized we needed a new sink…and when we installed the new sink, the old faucet didn’t fit…do you see where I’m going?!
Hey, friend! My name is Macy Gilson and I am so excited you’re here. I am a pediatric speech language pathologist, children’s author, and new mom. I started this community as a place for parents to share stories and find support in their mission to raise kind humans and create welcoming homes. I love all things home, baby and education and I am honored that you’re here!

As our remodel continued, we found ourselves looking for ways to save money without sacrificing quality. I spent countless hours looking for deals and Amazon quickly became my go-to. Today I’m rounding up all of our kitchen finds from Amazon - just in time for Prime Days (July 12-13).

Newborn Baby Must-Haves
Matte Black Sink Faucet: This sink faucet rivals the high end ones for a fraction of the price. We have the regular faucet ($69), but Amazon also sells the touchless faucet ($169) and both would make a great addition to any kitchen. In fact, we love this faucet so much that this is the second home we have put it in!
Bottle Washer: If you’re only able to purchase one thing for your kitchen, I’d make it this stainless steel glassware rinser. You may have seen them in restaurants or bars, but would you believe me if I told you that you could have one in your kitchen for less than $50?! (regularly $69). When our countertop installer asked us how many holes we would like for the sink faucet/soap dispenser, I asked him to add an extra one for this rinser and I use it every single day. Moms - it’s not just for glasses…it works on bottles too! Talk about a parenting win!
Cabinet Knobs: I originally purchased these cabinet knobs for a dresser that I found on Facebook marketplace and loved the way they turned out, so I ordered more for my kitchen cabinets. They come in different size packs (as few as 5 knobs and as many as 50). I purchased a pack of 18 for my kitchen and ended up with 3 left over. They are a modern take on a simple round knob, while still being small enough not to distract from the cabinetry.
Drawer Pulls: We have the 5” pulls in our kitchen, but we also have the 7½” pulls on our hall closet doors. Like the cabinet knobs, these can be purchased in different size packs (as few as 2 pulls and as many as 30). They have a matte finish which adds a touch of modern to our otherwise traditional kitchen.
Cordless Roman Shade: This Roman shade is currently on sale for $66 (regularly $89) and is a simple and affordable way to have custom window shades at a great price. Ours took about 2 weeks to ship and came with everything needed to install. It took my husband about 15 minutes to install using a power drill, but you can certainly do it by hand with a screwdriver, too. It provides the perfect amount of privacy while still letting in natural light!
