My Instagram Fam | NICU Moms

September is #NICUAwarenressMonth and to help raise awareness, I am sharing some of my favorite NICU family Instagram accounts. I started the #MyInstagramFam blog series to share my favorite Instagram accounts in a certain niche. The first post featured my favorite social media accounts that are dedicated to Disability Awareness and the second post featured my favorite social media accounts dedicated to all things Speech and Language!

I hope you already follow these amazing NICU families, but if you don’t, I hope this is a way for you to connect! Although every NICU journey is different, it can help to talk to someone who has walked a similar path. You can click on each name to go to their Instagram account.

  1. @dearnicumama -This account is pure magic. It is a place where NICU moms can meet one another, encourage one another, and laugh and cry with one another! If you’re looking for your daily support system, look no further.

  2. @prayersforpaisley - Paisley just turned one at the end of August and her mom, Melissa, is the fiercest advocate. Melissa documented 182 days of Paisley’s time in the NICU on her Instagram account as has been documenting since Paisley came home, too!

  3. @ourlifeafterNICU - Conner, an ex-24 weeker micro-preemie is the surviving twin of Caden, who passed away at one day old. Conner is a fighter and after six months in the NICU, he went home and has been defying the odds ever since!

  4. @sloan_strength - Sloan’s mom, Kari, is the toughest person I know, second to Sloan. Sloan was born with CHARGE syndrome and has already changed the world the short time she's been here! Kari is as real as it gets and her Instagram is a reflection of that!

  5. @lilyslittlelungs - I first “met” Lily and her mom, Jess, on Instagram over a year ago and have LOVED following their journey. Lily is the surviving twin of Baby A and spent 256 days in the NICU. Lily is an absolute rockstar and Jess has a wealth of knowledge on all things NICU life.

I’m inspired by these moms on a daily basis and I hope they encourage you, too! They are facing unexpected and sometimes unknown circumstances with grace and strength and I am proud to call them my friends.
