May is #BetterSpeechandHearingMonth and to celebrate, I am sharing all things related to speech and language for the entire month! A few weeks ago, I started a new blog series called #MyInstagramFam where I share my favorite Instagram accounts in a certain niche. Today, I am sharing my favorite social media accounts committed to all things speech and language for SLPs looking for inspiration and resources, as well as for parents and educators to gain insight and at-home ideas to facilitate your child’s speech and language development.
@the.type.b.slp - I have followed Abby ever since I was a little grad school student looking for fun ideas for my clients! Abby is a traveling therapist and #teacherspayteachers QUEEN!
@speechythings - Lindsey and I both live in DFW and when I realized, I had a little fan girl moment! She is by far the most creative SLP that I know and always has fresh ideas to keep therapy fun and motivating!
@thedailydoseofspeech - Kristen has a passion for working with students with complex communication needs and specializes in AAC assessment, device trials and AAC training. Her Instagram is focused on all things assistive technology!
@speechroomnews - Jenna is an OG #SLPblogger and is a rockstar when it comes to all things preschool! Her instagram and website are full of amazing, easy-to-implement activities for school age kids!
@ocdcspeech - I completed my clinical fellowship for Jill a few years ago and she is by far the most knowledgable SLP I know. Her main focuses are AAC and #literacy, but she does it all! Her TPT store has products for AAC users and students with complex communication needs (which are VERY hard to find)!
@whimsical.slp - I began following Andee when I entered the world of #teletherapy. All of her materials are no-print, digital resources (great for teletherapy and in-person!). Anytime I purchase from Andee’s TPT store, I know I’m getting a high quality, evidence based product!
